HOW TO CARE FOR NEW TATTOOS
Nestor recommends the following to make sure your tattoo stays bright and bold:
01
LEAVE BANDAGES ON
Try to leave the bandage on overnight. If you can't, keep the bandage on for a minimum of 6 hours after your tattoo session ends.
02
WASH YOUR TATTOO
When you take the bandage off, wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap and hot water using clean hands. Always pat dry your tattoo with a clean paper towel.
03
APPLY SECOND SKIN
Put on a second skin bandage like Saniderm. Make sure the tattoo is clean and dry when you do. Don't apply lotion or ointment before second skin.
DAILY CARE UNTIL HEALED
If you use a second skin bandage, leave it on for two to four days. Change it as needed if it gets itchy, bloody, or starts to expose your tattoo. To change it, take it off in the shower, wash, dry, and apply a new bandage.
After the after all bandages are removed, continue to wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap a few times a day. Don't pick at or scratch your tattoo. Use unscented lotion or moisturizer as needed to curb the itch. Your tattoo should be fully healed in about two weeks. Once it's healed, enjoy your new tattoo.
